For years I have been both intrigued and awed by the way God used a single individual named Daniel to travail in prayer for his colonised and dispersed countrymen. His prayers were definitely an important reason why his people were able to obtain liberty without bloodshed, civil disobedience campaigns or long drawn-out uprising.
Just as he was inspired by the "70 years prophecy" of Prophet Jeremiah in Jeremiah 29:10, no doubt Daniel had also read Jeremiah 33:3. Daniel was a man who believed that the main objective of prophetic insight was intercessory burden rather than ear-tingling proclamation. Too many prophetic people today are proclaiming the counsel of God without praying it through.
THE MANTLE FOR THIS GENERATION!
In the 20th century, men like Reese Howells (a Welshman who had interceded for the formation of the League of Nations - forerunner to the United Nations - in the 1920s) have been more recent torch-bearers of prophetic intercession. The mantle is now falling on this generation as the curtain of time begins to close. This site will share some of the things on my heart which I feel permissible to share.

ITEMS FOR INTERCESSION
- Indonesia - Pray for the Indonesian Rupiah to strengthen to 6,000 to US$1 in the short-term. This will bring stability to the nation, preparing the ground for a coming revival to that nation. Also ask God to put a shield around the institutions of the country that it will not be shaken by frequent power shifts in the next 8 years.
- Malaysia - Pray for Prime Minister Mahathir Mohammed who has been returned to power by the grace of God. Let the hand of God continue to rest strongly on him that he might be God's Cyrus for his country and the region, a strong and powerful agent of reform and progress. Pray for the miraculous protection on many young people receiving visions of the Living God over the next five years.
- China - Pray for a power realignment that is likely to take place in the next 2-3 years so that there will not be a milintant thinking among higher circles in power
- Greece - Pray for peace in this country so that it will not be gripped by an undesirable forces of armed actions
- The poor of South Asia - Pray that religious prejudice and social deprivation will melt away so that seeds of the Gospel may be sown
- Restoration of Pastoral Office- Pray for the restoration of strong and pure pastoral office in the Body of Christ and for them to be equipped with words of wisdom and knowlege in their ministry. That these pastors may also spark off a firm structure for a discipleship ministry within local church setting so that lifestyles may be transformed. The local assembly needs new wineskin (structure) before it can contain and dispense new wine.
